Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct utilization reviews, providing essential clinical information to insurance companies for the authorization of initial and ongoing treatment.
  • Maintain prompt communication with family members and loved ones, ensuring all calls and emails are returned within two hours during business hours and no later than 24 hours at other times.
  • Coordinate with the Utilization Review Department and billing team to ensure seamless authorization and payment processes, facilitating continuity of care.
  • Initiate discharge planning upon patient admission and conduct discharge sessions that reinforce coping skills, transition plans, and available resources for ongoing support.
  • Effectively manage crises during sessions and collaborate with milieu staff to provide necessary support, reinforcing a multidisciplinary team approach.
  • Ensure all clinical documentation is completed in real-time during service delivery, maintaining accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Establish and nurture therapeutic rapport with patients and their families, prioritizing evaluations for suicidality and potential danger.
  • Facilitate admission assessments for new patients with professionalism, embodying a welcoming and supportive demeanor.
  • Actively engage in weekly treatment team meetings to discuss patient progress and clinical goals, and offer extra support to colleagues when needed.
