Key Responsibilities
  • Engage in weekly treatment team meetings to assess and communicate patient progress and treatment goals, ensuring collaboration with all involved healthcare providers.
  • Conduct utilization reviews with insurance companies to acquire necessary authorizations for treatment plans, delivering accurate clinical information in a timely manner.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with patientsโ€™ family members, returning calls and emails within 2 hours during business hours, and within 24 hours during off-hours, enhancing family involvement in care.
  • Coordinate closely with the Utilization Review Department and the Business Department to manage authorization and payment processes, fostering a seamless experience for patients.
  • Initiate discharge planning starting on the day of admission, ensuring comprehensive treatment transition and scheduling discharge appointments prior to patient release.
  • Provide crisis intervention during sessions and support milieu staff, enhancing patient care quality and continuity.
  • Complete all clinical documentation promptly during and after sessions, ensuring compliance with organizational standards and enhancing therapeutic outcomes.
  • Build trusting therapeutic relationships with patients and their families, conducting thorough assessments for suicidality and safety.
  • Facilitate the admissions process for new patients professionally, ensuring a welcoming environment and assisting in clinical outreach as required.
