EJ has an immediate opening for a Water Products Sales Specialist in the Mountain West Region in the US that will support our Utah and Denver, Colorado branches. This is a remote role; the ideal candidate will live or relocate within the territory.

SUMMARY

Assists the sales and technical sales staff by providing technical engineering and sales support for the Water Product lines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Works with WP Sales Manager to develop and implements strategic marketing plans and sales plans and forecasts to achieve corporate objectives for products and services.
  • Responsible for district product strategy and assisting in the implementation for existing and new market areas and products.
  • Has knowledge of Water Products and has the technical ability to understand features, designs, and concepts.
  • Understands the function and application of Water Products and has knowledge of the industry.
  • Develop a strong knowledge and understanding of competitor products.
  • Strong networking ability with EJ customer groups.
  • Monitors competitor products, sales, and marketing activities.
  • Works with Technical Sales to help train and educate sales staff on products and product strategy.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners.
  • Routinely visits customers and end user of our project, educating them about new products and obtaining their feedback and relating this feedback to the appropriate location.
  • Continually educate themselves on the new products and be knowledgeable about them.
  • Completes regular reports about specification work completed/in process, large projects identified, customer service concerns/issues/successes, and sales calls completed.
  • Establishes and maintains a consistent corporate image throughout all product lines, promotional materials, and events.
  • Attends trade shows, meetings, expositions, and conventions to make customer contacts which result in product sales.
  • Meets with key clients, assisting sales representative with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals.
  • Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
  • Reviews and analyzes sales performances against goals set by Management, quotes and plans to determine effectiveness.
  • Proficient (or has the ability to gain proficiency in 6 months) on Salesforce.com to capture and share all work activity.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university, preferably in Engineering or Business-related field. Minimum of two (2) years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond
