Job description

Candidates based in Richardson, TX are preferred but Remote candidates will also be considered.

The Compliance Manager is responsible for facilitating the effective planning, management, and governance of the companyโ€™s regulatory compliance programs for RealPage Utility & Sustainability Management (RUSM). This includes all processes related to ensuring the successful prioritization, launch, execution, delivery and status reporting of Compliance programs and initiatives. The Compliance Manager will work across the RUM organization to effectively plan, organize and facilitate cross-functional and cross-enterprise programs/initiatives of varying complexity.


  • Assist with the analysis and interpretation of regulatory compliance requirements as they apply to RUM operations and billing implementations.
  • Provide regulatory review, risk assessment, and compliance audit review for both proposed RUSM billing implementations and existing resident billing programs.
  • Investigate and respond to RUSM billing inquires that rise to a level necessary for Legal/Compliance response (e.g. consumer protection investigations and litigation threats).
  • Assist with regulatory filings for RUSM clients, including but not limited to, North Carolina Utility Commission authorizations and rate/fee modifications and Public Utility Commission of Texas Allocation/Submeter registrations.
  • Recommend improvements and assist in changes to best practices
  • Develop/review/analyze status, issues, risks and dependencies, facilitate discussion and drive resolution, and suggest escalation actions when appropriate
  • Review and maintain regulatory database used by RUSM listing any and all rules or regulations which impacts the RUSM business.ย 

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree required; Juris Doctor (JD) preferred
  • 5+ years of compliance management or auditing experience and/or relevant experience in managing multiple, concurrent regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Must demonstrate an ability to establish relationships and build rapport in order to influence colleagues at all levels, uncover business or technical issues and facilitate their resolution.
  • Must be able to present information concisely and clearly to all levels of management, including financial, technical and executive level audiences.
  • Must be a high-energy, hands-on contributor, comfortable in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, entrepreneurial work environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
