Job description

Loot Labs is on a mission to make collecting fun. We believe that every collectible tells a story: of passion, nostalgia, and discovery.
Through our flagship product, Boxed.gg we are reimagining how the world collects by blending digital entertainment with tangible rewards, delivering nostalgia and discovery straight to the fans' doorsteps.
We are...

  • Community First: We've served 500k collectors and foster an active community of over 125k+ Discord members.

  • Ambitiously Led: Led by veterans from Microsoft, Twitch, 2K, and Boeing.

  • Remote-First: We value high autonomy, low ego, and trust our team to build from anywhere in the world.

Since our inception in 2023, we’ve seen significant year-over-year growth. And now we're gearing up for our most ambitious year yet, with major expansions planned across product offerings, strategic partnerships, and next-generation collector experiences. If you’re ready to build products that spark joy at a global scale, you’re in the right place.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to help shape and scale the core experience of BOXED.GG, a $50M+ collectibles platform where every product decision directly impacts revenue, retention, and user behavior.

This role serves as the core individual contributor driving Product Design, taking on a portion of responsibilities that traditionally sit within Product. You will own the end-to-end user experience from discovery through execution, launch, and iteration while helping bring cohesion, consistency, and intentionality to the product.

You’ll act as the design system's evolver, a hands-on prototyper, and an embedded partner to Engineering, working in the trenches to solve problems in real time. You’ll also engage directly with users to validate ideas, understand behavior, and continuously improve the product experience.

This is a high-ownership role suited for someone who moves quickly and uses data and user insight to inform decisions.

This role reports to the Creative Director and partners closely with the Head of Product, Engineering Manager, and broader Product & Engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the end-to-end design of key product areas, including onboarding, loot box experiences, inventory systems, payments, and retention features

  • Translate product opportunities into user flows, prototypes, and high-quality designs

  • Partner closely with Engineering to solve problems in real time and ship quickly

  • Conduct user interviews, testing, and research to inform product decisions

  • Engage directly with users and the community to gather feedback and iterate on features

  • Design and run experiments to improve conversion, engagement, and retention

  • Analyze user behavior and cohort data to drive design decisions

  • Evolve and extend the design system to ensure consistency and scalability

RequirementsExperience
  • 5+ years of experience in product design (UI/UX), ideally within high-growth consumer platforms (gaming, marketplaces, fintech, or digital products)

  • Proven experience designing and shipping user-facing features end-to-end

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating both visual design excellence and problem-solving depth

  • Experience working closely with Product and Engineering in fast-paced, iterative environments

  • Comfortable operating with high ownership in ambiguous environments

Design & Technical Skills (Essential)
  • Proficiency in Figma (components, prototyping, and design systems)

  • Strong visual and interaction design across complex product flows

  • Solid understanding of information architecture and usability principles

  • Ability to prototype quickly and iterate on ideas in real time

  • Experience conducting user interviews and usability testing

  • Ability to work with user cohorts, behavioral data, and feedback loops to inform design decisions

Domain Knowledge (Preferred)
  • Familiarity with gaming, collectibles, digital economies, or reward-based systems

  • Understanding of user motivation, progression mechanics, and engagement loops

Product & Growth Mindset (Nice to have)
  • Understanding of product funnels, user journeys, and conversion optimization

  • Experience working with product analytics and experimentation (e.g., A/B testing)

  • Ability to connect design decisions to measurable outcomes (conversion, retention, engagement)

What We Offer
  • Direct impact on revenue and user behavior through product design

  • High ownership and autonomy within a growing team

  • Fast-paced, experiment-driven environment

  • Opportunity to shape and scale a category-leading platform

How to Apply

Please include a portfolio showcasing relevant product design work, including examples of shipped products and your impact on outcomes.

Compensation Range: $90K - $180K
