CLOSING DATE:

EMPLOYEE REFERRAL PROGRAM:
This position is eligible for an employee referral incentive payment of $1,000.00 (conditions apply).

POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for providing program support and expertise in administrating a statewide CORP (Corrections Officer Retirement Plan) program per applicable laws and procedural rules. This position will also provide support to the Human Resources Department.

Essential functions of this position include but are not limited to:

  • Provide staff support for monthly Board meetings by preparing meeting notices, agendas, minutes, and supporting materials for Board review
  • Update and maintain the CORP membership database and websites
  • Tracks pre-employment physical examinations to ensure that all new member exams are completed and on file in a timely manner
  • Serve as liaison between County HR departments and the Public Safety Personnel Retirement System (PSPRS) to collect paperwork for the CORP Local Board
  • Serve as the backup Secretary for the Board
  • Collect and enter information into a PSPRS workbook for all disability and survivor retirement applications
  • Assist with the election and appointment of new Board members
  • Coordinate with Public Safety and County HR departments to conduct the annual membership audit
  • Provide program support to the training program and events
  • Assist with drafting job announcements and posting jobs
  • Update and maintain Human Resources' SharePoint sites
  • Perform other Human Resources duties as assigned

This position may be eligible for a hybrid-telework schedule once the employee has completed three (3) months of employment and has sufficiently proved their ability to perform assigned tasks.

Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program qualified employer.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
The successful candidate must have a Bachelor's degree and two years of related experience. Directly relevant experience may substitute for education. Other requirements include excellent writing skills to routinely draft correspondence and transcribe meeting minutes; ability to treat sensitive information in a confidential manner; proficiency in Microsoft Office products and data entry. The ability to independently handle multiple tasks and assignments with minimal direction, organize and prioritize multiple concurrent projects, and complete detailed work in an accurate and timely manner.

SELECTION PROCESS:
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Only applicants whose backgrounds most closely meet the needs of the position may be invited to interview. The Selection Process may include computer testing (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, proofreading, typing, etc.) and first and/or second round panel interviews. This is a Regular, Full-time, Non-exempt level position.
