Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough, culturally sensitive mental health assessments to evaluate patients' unique needs, personal histories, and treatment goals.

  • Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, navigating a spectrum of mental health concerns and helping clients build resilience.
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to foster comprehensive care strategies that address all facets of patient health.
  • Provide crisis intervention support during mental health emergencies, applying your expertise to de-escalate situations and assure patient safety.
  • Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions and available resources, empowering them in their recovery journey.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse clientele, including individuals from ethnic and cultural minorities, LGBTQ+ communities, and immigrant populations. Qualifications
  • Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Possession of a current and valid license as an LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW-C in the state of Kansas.
  • A strong foundation in mental health disorders and a demonstrable understanding of culturally responsive therapy methods.
  • Experience providing individual and group therapy tailored to diverse populations and varying needs.
  • Excellent crisis intervention skills and the ability to manage challenging situations calmly and effectively.
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills, capable of forging strong connections with clients and their families.
