The Department of Healthcare and Family Services, Bureau of Rate Development & Analysis is seeking to hire an Office Associate with typing qualifications.  Qualified applicants should have knowledge of office practices and equipment, composition, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and basic mathematics.  This position will offer extensive training and career advancement opportunities.  We invite qualified applicants to become a part of our team and are confident that you will take pride in serving the great state of Illinois.

Essential Functions
  • Under direction, conducts a variety of complex, specialized clerical duties and record processing related to the Medical Accounts Receivable and Collection Program for Medical Programs
  • Reviews and evaluates the C-50 report
  • Develops and updates the control, processing and documentation of recovery reports
  • Assists fiscal operations in balancing total monies due by provider and provider types
  • Reviews and verifies request for unique payments to medical providers not processed through Medicaid
    Management Information System (MMIS)
  • Assists in updating master file records of all approved payments to medical providers for future reference and for
    internal and external auditors
  • Researches data to ensure payment requests are not duplicated documentation
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated
    above
Minimum Qualifications
  • Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of high school and two (2) years of office experience
  • Requires ability to keyboard accurately at 45 words per minute
Conditions of Employment
  • Requires completion of a background check and self-disclosure of criminal history 
  • Requires the ability to utilize and maintain state issued equipment such as a laptop
