Job description

What we do and why we do it
As the leading end-to-end investment platform for single-family rental homes (SFR), our mission is to reinvent the rental housing ecosystem for the benefit of all. We successfully merge our passion for helping investors build wealth through real estate with cutting edge technology that transforms the way they do it.
How it's going (and growing)
With a talented team of 750+ Roofsters, our collaborative, can-do culture is what fuels our growth. In 2022, we closed on our Series E, raising $240 million, and have offices in the Bay Area and New York City. Our growth includes recent acquisitions of Stessa (financial and asset management software), RentPrep (tenant screening and placement service for landlords), and Mynd (property management platform for both Retail and Institutional investors). In 2025, Roofstock took an ownership stake in Casago (short-term rental management services), expanding our platform to support both long-term and short-term rental investment services.
About the Role
As a Maintenance Project Coordinator at Roofstock you will serve as the project coordinator for all things related to the turnover maintenance process. You will coordinate all aspects of routine repairs with vendors and ensure all stakeholders are abreast of the project timeline. We will empower you to be a turnover rock star by training you on our proprietary software and teaching you the ins and outs of the property management business. Most importantly, you will bring a strong sense of project coordination skills and an infectious enthusiasm to bear as we strive to maximize our owner's investments and provide our residents with homes they love!
This is a temporary position through the end of September 2026.
Responsibilities
  • Manage occupied service requests from end-to-end (including creating a scope of work, and securing owner approval) to ensure issues are resolved promptly, ensuring all needed information is received (status updates, photos, estimates, invoices), communicating with vendors and internal teams, and assigning technicians to address requests.
  • Provide exceptional customer service at all times by attending to turnover service requests, vendor service calls, and messages within SLA guidelines and in compliance with company policy and practices.
  • Manage all electronic record keeping as it relates to repairs and maintenance including internal communication, vendor communications, resident damages, and any other needed information.
  • Ensure non-covered items are completed by the resident or billed back to the resident.
  • Coordinate inter-departmentally in order to receive necessary approvals for turnover service requests and provide updates and serve as a resource for Property Management teams.
  • Additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
  • Previous property management, vendor management and/or utility management experience preferred.
  • Technical proficiency including Google Applications, Microsoft Office Applications, and Slack preferred.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and organization skills
  • Strong customer service, written and verbal communication, organizational and interpersonal skills required.
  • Ability to meet timelines and adjust expectations preemptively.
  • Positive, can-do attitude with a commitment to excellence and achieving goals.
  • Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals.
  • Can effectively work independently and as a member of various teams and committees.

Location
This is a remote position with strong preference for candidates located within the Central Time Zone.
Compensation
$45,000 - $55,000 range annually
Compensation range may be adjusted based on experience and location.
Pay Transparency
Our compensation reflects several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position represents the expected salary for this position. Ultimately, in determining your pay it will be based on several factors including location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience and other job related factors. Roofstock is a total compensation company; the base salary is only a part of our total compensation package.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. is a precondition of employment and we are unable to sponsor H1-B Visas at this time.
Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation.
