Position Summary

The Power Solution Architect is a strategic technical leader within IEM's Application Engineering group. This role focuses on designing and optimizing electrical power delivery systems across industrial, data center, and enterprise applications. Acting as a bridge between engineering and commercial teams, the architect drives innovation, supports digital transformation, and enhances technical capabilities across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pre-Sales Support
    • Partner with Sales to provide technical expertise during business development and proposal efforts.
    • Interpret project specifications and guide estimation and design teams.
    • Contribute to RFI/RFP responses and technical documentation.
  • System Architecture & Design
    • Develop scalable, standards-compliant power system architectures.
    • Ensure designs meet performance, reliability, and operational goals.
  • Product & Technology Collaboration
    • Evaluate and select components based on technical and commercial criteria.
    • Recommend design optimizations and alternative solutions.
  • Cross-Functional Engagement
    • Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and thermal engineering teams.
    • Refine solutions based on customer and stakeholder feedback.
  • Thought Leadership & Enablement
    • Represent IEM at industry events and promote technical solutions.
    • Mentor teams and support training initiatives to scale expertise.
  • Strategic Impact
    • Influence technical and commercial strategies to differentiate IEM solutions.
    • Advocate for technology integration and digital transformation.

Qualifications

    • Bachelors in electrical engineering (Master's degree preferred)
    • 5+ years in power system architecture
    • Expertise in UL, IEEE standards and industry practices
    • Strong analytical and communication skills

    Preferred experience:

    • Experience in OEM
    • Microgrid applications
    • Power equipment sales or commercial collaboration
    • Innovation leadership and vendor engagement

Workplace Conditions

  • On-site, hybrid, or remote
  • Travel up to 50%

Compensation 

The salary range for this role is $120,000 -$130,000 per year, based on location, experience, and qualifications.
