• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to gain an understanding of patients' trauma histories and current mental health challenges.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that are tailored to each patient's unique circumstances, focusing specifically on trauma recovery, skill-building, and emotional resilience.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
• Deliver one-on-one and group therapy sessions that facilitate healing by helping patients process trauma and develop effective coping strategies.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and other mental health professionals, to create a holistic approach to patient care.
• Respond promptly to crisis situations, offering immediate support and intervention during trauma-related emergencies.
• Educate clients and their family members on the effects of trauma, effective coping mechanisms, and the resources available for ongoing support.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring clarity and accountability in progress tracking.
• Engage in continuous professional development through participation in case consultations, team meetings, and substantial training sessions on trauma-informed care.
• Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to enhance clinical efficacy and patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse client population, including adults, adolescents, and families who have been impacted by trauma. Our practice is particularly attuned to the sensitivities and complexities surrounding trauma responses, providing culturally competent care tailored to the needs of each individual while fostering a healing environment.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Maryland is required.
• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience, with a strong focus on trauma-related disorders preferred.

• Deep understanding of trauma-informed treatment modalities and interventions designed to promote resilience.
• Experience in delivering specialized therapies that target trauma recovery, such as EMDR and TF-CBT.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills paired with a compassionate approach to client interactions.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiarity with digital therapy platforms.
• A cooperative spirit and readiness to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment.
