Work Environment

This role offers a primarily remote work environment but will be supported by an outpatient office setting where collaboration with multidisciplinary teams is encouraged. Flexibility is essential, as you may need to adapt your schedule based on patient requirements, with standard hours from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to thoroughly evaluate each patientโ€™s history and identify effective therapeutic strategies.
  • Craft and implement individualized treatment plans designed to enhance trauma recovery and resilience, incorporating specific goals tailored to each clientโ€™s needs.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.
  • Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions, guiding patients through the process of trauma recovery and skill development for enhanced coping.
  • Engage in collaborative workflows with psychiatrists and other professionals, ensuring comprehensive and integrated care for all patients.
  • Provide immediate crisis intervention and therapeutic support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring client safety and stabilization.
  • Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available support resources, fostering a holistic understanding of their experiences.
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation, adhering to ethical and legal standards as required by mental health regulations.
  • Regularly participate in case consultations and professional development sessions focused on trauma-informed care best practices.
  • Stay current with advancements in trauma therapy research and methodologies to continuously enhance service delivery.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients who have been affected by trauma, encompassing a variety of conditions, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will be poised to provide support to a diverse range of individuals, fostering a space where they can navigate their unique stories and work toward recovery.

Qualifications
  • A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Possession of a current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in Massachusetts.
  • A strong foundational knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment methodologies is essential.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing trauma-focused therapies and interventions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, combined with an empathetic and non-judgmental approach.
  • The ability to maintain composure in high-stress scenarios, ensuring meaningful client interactions during critical times.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications to ensure seamless documentation and patient management.
  • A collaborative spirit and the capability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, emphasizing trauma modalities.
