Position Overview

Health Bridge Psychotherapy Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Trauma-Informed Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity. This role is pivotal in delivering specialized mental health care to individuals who have experienced trauma, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will play a key role in enhancing the quality of life for our patients by providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions and support.

Work Environment

Working remotely from the comfort of your home, you will benefit from a flexible and supportive work environment. Our clinic operates Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a structured schedule with some flexibility to accommodate the needs of our patients. As a member of our team, you will collaborate with other mental health professionals to ensure high-quality integrated care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories and establish tailored treatment plans.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment strategies aimed at fostering trauma recovery, resilience, and emotional well-being.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) in therapy sessions.
  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, providing a space for patients to process their trauma, acquire coping skills, and promote healing.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary professionals to coordinate comprehensive care and support for patients.
  • Offer crisis intervention services during trauma-related emergencies and provide immediate support to those in distress.
  • Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available community resources.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Engage in case discussions, team meetings, and professional development activities aimed at enhancing trauma-informed practices.
  • Stay current on the latest research and best practices related to trauma therapy to continuously improve therapeutic interventions.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This position focuses on individuals who have been impacted by various forms of trauma, including PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Our patients are diverse, coming from various backgrounds and life experiences, and are seeking support to navigate their recovery journeys. Your role will be essential in validating their experiences and helping them find pathways to healing.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Active and valid licensure as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Illinois.
  • A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience preferred, demonstrating expertise in trauma-informed care.
  • In-depth knowledge of trauma-related disorders, treatment modalities, and resilience-enhancement strategies.
  • Proven experience delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions effectively.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, combined with a compassionate, non-judgmental approach.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed when addressing high-stress situations.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant technology applications.
  • Demonstrated capability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team setting.
Preferred Experience
  • A strong background in working with trauma survivors and exposure to diverse cultural perspectives in mental health.
  • Familiarity with innovative therapeutic techniques and ongoing engagement in continuous learning.
  • Experience in facilitating group therapy sessions, demonstrating strong leadership and facilitation skills.
Compensation and Benefits
