Position Overview

Premise Therapy Center is actively seeking a dedicated Trauma-Informed Mental Health Therapist to join our compassionate team of professionals. This full-time position offers the unique opportunity to provide specialized mental health care to individuals impacted by trauma, within a remote work setting.

Located in Anaheim, California, Premise Therapy Center is a leading outpatient facility dedicated to serving survivors of trauma. Our clinic specializes in the treatment of conditions such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. We pride ourselves on fostering a supportive and non-judgmental environment, allowing our clients to heal and rebuild their lives.

Work Environment

Our remote work setting facilitates flexibility and adaptability in meeting the needs of our clients. While the position is primarily remote, collaboration with team members occurs through virtual meetings and consultations. Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, but some flexibility may be necessary to accommodate patient needs.

Key Responsibilities

As a Mental Health Therapist at Premise Therapy Center, you will engage in a variety of essential duties, including:

  • Conducting comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to gather in-depth understanding of each patient’s trauma history and individual needs.
  • Developing and executing tailored treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery and resilience building.
  • Implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
  • Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping clients process their trauma and enhance their coping skills.
  • Collaborating with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to deliver integrated and coordinated care.
  • Providing immediate crisis intervention and responsive support during trauma-related emergencies.
  • Educating patients and their families on trauma responses, strategies for coping, and community resources available to them.
  • Maintaining meticulous and confidential documentation in accordance with all legal and ethical standards.
  • Participating in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities that focus on trauma-informed care and the latest therapeutic methodologies.
  • Staying informed about emerging research and best practices in trauma therapy to continuously improve treatment outcomes.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on individuals who have undergone significant trauma, including survivors of abuse, veterans, and those suffering from PTSD and other trauma-related disorders. Qualifications

Ideal candidates will possess the following educational qualifications and licenses:

  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.
  • A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience working with trauma survivors.
Preferred Experience
