Work Environment

This position is entirely remote, providing you the flexibility to deliver exceptional mental health care from the comfort of your home. While our outpatient office is based in Fremont, we cater to a diverse client demographic from various regions. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and licensed practitioners, to ensure holistic care delivery. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' mental health history and identify appropriate therapeutic interventions.
  • Develop and maintain individualized treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each patient, focusing on trauma recovery and resilience-building.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to foster healing.
  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, empowering clients to process their trauma experiences and develop effective coping strategies.
  • Respond to crisis situations with urgency, providing supportive interventions during trauma-related emergencies.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation in compliance with legal, ethical standards, and organizational policies using our electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Engage in team consultations, professional development workshops, and continuous education to enhance trauma-informed care practices.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Mental Health Therapist at Premise Therapy Center, you will work primarily with clients who have experienced various forms of trauma resulting in PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative conditions. Your role will involve supporting patients of all ages, ensuring they receive empathetic and tailored treatment plans that address their specific emotional and psychological needs. You will also educate clients and their families on trauma responses, recovery strategies, and available resources.

Qualifications
  • Education: Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Active and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.
  • Skills & Knowledge: Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed treatment modalities and resilience approaches.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to patient care.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience preferred, especially in community mental health or outpatient settings.
  • Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems for patient documentation and care management.
  • Prior experience with trauma-focused therapies and interventions is highly desirable.
Compensation and Benefits
