Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of clients' mental health conditions to understand their challenges and formulate effective treatment plans.
• Provide personalized individual therapy sessions employing various therapeutic techniques to encourage client growth and emotional resilience.
• Establish collaborative therapeutic goals with clients and regularly monitor their progress to ensure desired outcomes are achieved.
• Deliver teletherapy solutions, facilitating access for clients who may face transportation challenges or prefer virtual sessions.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation to uphold ethical standards and provide necessary reports for ongoing treatment assessments.
• Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance clinical skills and stay informed on emerging mental health trends.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role as an LMFT will primarily focus on adult clients grappling with a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. Additionally, you may work with families navigating complex dynamics. You will guide clients through their healing journeys, employing a holistic approach to therapy that considers each individual's unique circumstances.

Qualifications

• A valid and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to establish trust and rapport with clients.
• Ability to practice empathy, respect, and a nonjudgmental attitude toward clients’ experiences.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, enabling you to effectively handle a varied caseload.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in providing therapy within a community health clinic setting.
• Background in trauma-informed care or working with clients dealing with addiction or substance use disorders.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and technology in providing therapy sessions.
