Your expertise and compassionate approach will empower clients to build resilience and achieve their personal goals.

About the Organization

Unto Life Behavioral Health is a dedicated provider of behavioral health services located in Bowie, Maryland. Our commitment is to offer comprehensive mental health support and therapy that addresses the diverse needs of our community. We pride ourselves on our holistic approach, combining clinical expertise with a deep understanding of cultural backgrounds, to help our clients find their path to well-being.

Regular team meetings and mentorship programs will foster a supportive atmosphere while maintaining flexibility in your work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality counseling and psychotherapy services to clients, addressing individual and family needs.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop personalized treatment plans, in collaboration with clients, ensuring that measurable therapeutic goals are set.
  • Act as an advocate for clients, connecting them with critical resources such as financial aid, housing support, or other essential social services.
  • Provide crisis intervention for clients facing acute mental health challenges, including suicidal ideation, substance abuse crises, or severe trauma responses, ensuring immediate and effective support.
  • Engage in community educational initiatives aimed at increasing mental health awareness and reducing stigma associated with seeking help.
  • Maintain meticulous, up-to-date case records, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with HIPAA and relevant state and federal regulations.
  • Participate actively in ongoing mentorship and personal development opportunities that enhance both clinical skills and personal growth.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily engage with a diverse client population, focusing on individuals and families facing mental health challenges associated with end-of-life issues, grief, and emotional distress. Your role will be pivotal in helping clients navigate their unique experiences, ensuring they feel supported and understood during vulnerable times.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
  • A valid Maryland LCSW license with an ability to practice independently.
  • A compassionate and culturally competent approach to client care, recognizing and respecting the diverse backgrounds of clients.
  • Proven experience in providing therapy to individuals, couples, and families.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication capabilities to facilitate clear dialogue with clients and colleagues.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably with a focus on mental health and crisis intervention.
  • Previous work experience in hospice, palliative care, or a related field is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability in case management and navigating social service resources effectively.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual compensation package ranging from $90,000 to $110,000, in addition to a robust benefits package that includes:

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • A 401(k) plan with company match to support your financial future.
  • Flexible scheduling options to accommodate work-life balance.
  • Life insurance and additional wellness programs.
  • Paid Time Off and Sick Leave to ensure you can recharge and focus on your well-being.
Career Growth Opportunities

We believe in fostering the professional development of our team members. In this role, you will receive ongoing mentorship and training to enhance your clinical skills and provide exceptional care. Opportunities for advancement within our organization include leadership roles or specializing in specific therapeutic modalities suited to your interests and expertise.
