Job description

This is a remote, field-based role to be located in the Salt Lake City metro area.

Reporting to a Sales Director, you will manage the business plan at the account level, focusing on total volume, profit and share growth for a portfolio of iconic brands across our Grocery, Snacks and Refrigerated segments. You will implement brand strategies with customers by working with decision makers and internal partners, using consumer insights and category management programs to guide customer decisions. This is a great opportunity if you have experience doing the headquarter sales call, or if you are looking to take this next step in your CPG sales career.

A Taste of Your Responsibilities

  • Develop an annual customer plan and gain alignment on opportunities for growth
  • Lead the joint business planning process with the customer, providing strategic leadership across assigned categories
  • Develop trade promotion strategies and tactical plans with the customer
  • Monitor and manage the customer's overall business plan, including trade budgets, deduction balances, spending and volume to achieve sales goals
  • Conduct post-event analysis to evaluate promotional volume, consumption, profit and spending results to maximize future opportunities
  • Implement brand strategies through category business reviews with the customer
  • Build relationships with buyers to discuss consumer trends, business drivers and incremental opportunities
  • Use category management practices to connect consumer and shopper trends with new item sell-in and distribution growth
  • Develop accurate monthly forecasts by tracking shipments, consumption data and inventory changes to support supply chain efficiency
  • Partner with Commerce Marketing, Business Planning, Business Development, and Category Leadership teams to develop collaborative marketing programs aligned to brand and customer strategies
  • Manage deduction balances and conduct post audits
  • Lead and facilitate the customer's annual food show
  • Build relationships with the independent grocery chains that pull through the customer, and partner with the independent grocery chains to create promotional programs, display opportunities, and sell in new items

Ingredients Required for Your Success

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 3+ years of Consumer Packaged Goods sales experience, including 1+ years in a broker or analyst role
  • Financial experience, including profit and loss management
  • Experience working with customer decision makers and cross-functional partners
  • Experience using data and insights to influence customer strategies and drive business results
  • Experience with forecasting, trade planning and budget management

Compensation

Pay Range:$82,000-$120,000

The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee's actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees' equity.Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
