The Material Program Manager (MPM) is the direct link between RTX internal program management teams and both the procurement staff and critical supply base. The MPM is the sole supply chain representative to internal stakeholders and supply chain leadership. In this role, you will interface directly with and coordinate efforts between critical suppliers, internal procurement teams & other functional areas, and the supply chain & program management organizations. You will be directly responsible for program and customer deployment material availability, and you will be a part of a team of fellow MPMs jointly supporting the same cause. Without you, the Material Program Manager, RTX internal and external customers will fail to meet their mission critical production and product requirements.

Within Collins Aerospace, this role supports the Air Traffic Systems (ATS) product area, which delivers air traffic control systems, weather and navigation products, and related solutions.

What You Will Do

  • Align supply chain strategies with the acquisitions team to ensure timely PO placement and effective supplier oversight
  • Manage key strategic suppliers and lead weekly status reviews
  • Track and report key performance indicators to maintain program health and supplier performance:
    • Aging requisitions
    • Past-due POs
    • Supplier on-time delivery
    • Other critical metrics
  • Partner closely with program management, materials, engineering, quality, and operations to align supply chain actions with program and customer priorities
  • Present supply chain updates to internal customers and stakeholders during program meetings
  • Expedite critical materials to meet deployment schedules using line-of-balance tracking
  • Support or develop monthly supply chain sales forecasts
  • Support supply chain inputs for customer proposals, including bill of material pricing and basis-of-estimate development
  • Act as the primary supply chain representative in program meetings
  • Adapt quickly to resolve daily program-critical issues

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and less than 2 years prior relevant experience
  • At least 1 year of experience in a supply chain management, procurement, subcontracts, or other similar role
  • Prior experience working with suppliers or in supplier management

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft office suite, especially excel (VLOOKUP, pivots, etc.)
  • Must obtain MPM and EVMS online training certification within 1 year of hire
  • Master's degree in business, management, finance, supply chain, or similar concentration
  • Strong experience with supplier management
  • A customer service attitude
  • Ability to lead efforts and resolve problems
  • Ability and flexibility to function in a high pace, ever changing environment
  • A team oriented and self-starter attitude
  • Comfort and willingness with public speaking and representing supply chain

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
