GIS Tech Lead

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced GIS Tech Lead to design, develop, and manage enterprise GIS solutions. The ideal candidate will lead GIS application development, spatial data management, cloud-based GIS architecture, and technical delivery for geospatial projects. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, mentoring GIS developers/analysts, and ensuring scalable and high-performance GIS systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:
    • GIS
    • Geoinformatics
    • Computer Science
    • Civil Engineering
    • Geography
    • Remote Sensing
    • Related field

Technical Skills

  • Strong experience with:
    • ArcGIS Enterprise
    • ArcGIS Pro
    • QGIS
  • Knowledge of:
    • Spatial databases: PostgreSQL/PostGIS, Oracle Spatial, SQL Server
    • Web GIS technologies: JavaScript, REST APIs, GeoServer
    • Python scripting and automation
    • Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform
    • GIS web frameworks and map services
    • Remote sensing and spatial analysis concepts
  • Familiarity with:
    • GPS and survey data
    • CAD-GIS integration
    • ETL tools such as FME

Experience Requirements

  • 7–12+ years of GIS industry experience
