• Conduct individual, couples, family, and group therapy sessions, adapting your approach based on the unique dynamics presented by each client.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, such as cognitive behavioral therapy and family systems approaches, to facilitate healing and resilience.
• Develop personalized treatment plans that align with clients' specific goals and needs, regularly assessing progress and adjusting interventions as necessary.
• Maintain an organized documentation system, using electronic health records to ensure accurate tracking of client progress and treatment plans.
• Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families to enhance their understanding of mental health issues, fostering deeper engagement in the therapeutic process.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, primary care providers, and social workers, to create comprehensive care strategies for clients.
• Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and ethical practice, staying informed about relevant laws and regulations governing therapy.

Our clinic serves a diverse range of clients, including children, teens, adults, and families dealing with various mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. As an LMFT, you will work with clients from diverse backgrounds, understanding the cultural and social factors that influence their mental health. Your role is crucial in providing culturally competent care that respects each individual’s unique life experiences and perspectives.

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is required.
• Must hold an active LMFT license in the state of California.
• Proficiency in therapeutic modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy and family systems theory.
• Strong organizational and effective communication skills necessary for maintaining client documentation and interacting with team members.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment while managing multiple client cases simultaneously.

• A minimum of two years of experience providing therapy in a clinical setting is preferred.
• Experience working with a diverse clientele and familiarity with culturally responsive therapeutic practices is highly desirable.
• Prior experience with teletherapy platforms and electronic health records is an advantage.

Hearts & Lives Counseling Services offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $110,000 to $130,000, commensurate with experience.
