Our team culture echoes a commitment to excellence, empathy, and support, ensuring that all voices are heard and valued.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide psychotherapy and other mental health services to students experiencing a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, and PTSD, primarily through virtual sessions.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ mental health status, which includes emotional, behavioral, and social evaluations to inform treatment decisions.
  • Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans that are evidence-based and culturally sensitive, while actively involving patients and their families in the treatment process.
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including school counselors, educators, psychiatrists, and primary care physicians, to create a comprehensive support system for each student.
  • Monitor patient progress across therapy sessions, using reflective listening and feedback to assess treatment efficacy and make necessary adjustments.
  • Provide educational resources and support to students and their families, equipping them with information about mental health conditions and available treatment options.
  • Uphold ethical standards of practice, ensuring patient confidentiality and informed consent in line with legal requirements and best practices in mental health care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The focus of this role is primarily on a young population within school settings, who may be dealing with issues such as academic stress, familial challenges, and developmental obstacles. The LCSW will work closely with students from diverse backgrounds, ensuring that their unique circumstances and cultural contexts are acknowledged and integrated into their care plans.

Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • Active Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential in the state of Connecticut.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience providing psychotherapy and mental health services to diverse patient populations.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to develop rapport with students and their families, as well as collaborate with a variety of healthcare professionals.
  • Strong clinical skills with experience in creating thorough assessments and evidence-based treatment strategies.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and other healthcare software tools for patient management and care coordination.
  • Deep understanding of mental health conditions and the unique challenges faced by youth, along with commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to ethical practice standards.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in educational or school-based mental health settings.
  • Familiarity with community resources and support services relevant to children and adolescents.
  • Training or specialization in trauma-informed care or cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT).
Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $90,000 to $105,000, based on experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include:

  • Short-term and long-term disability coverage.
  • Life insurance policy.
