These professionals often use digital tools to collaborate with teams, analyze data, write reports, and communicate findings. Common roles include data analysts, research scientists, or technical consultants specializing in fields such as biology, chemistry, engineering, or environmental science. Remote Technical Science positions allow for flexibility and can be found in academia, private industry, or government organizations.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote Technical Scientist, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Technical Scientist, you need a solid background in scientific research or engineering, analytical problem-solving, and typically a relevant bachelor's or advanced degree. Familiarity with laboratory information management systems (LIMS), data analysis software like Python or R, and remote collaboration tools is highly valuable. Excellent communication, self-motivation, and adaptability are key soft skills for remote teamwork and independent research. These skills and qualities are essential for ensuring accurate scientific outcomes, effective virtual collaboration, and productivity outside traditional lab environments.

What are some common challenges faced by professionals working in remote technical science roles, and how can they be addressed?

Remote technical science professionals often encounter challenges such as maintaining effective communication with colleagues, accessing specialized equipment, and staying engaged with ongoing research. To address these, it's important to utilize collaborative tools like video conferencing and shared digital workspaces, proactively schedule regular meetings, and coordinate closely with on-site teams to ensure timely access to necessary resources. Additionally, setting clear goals and maintaining transparent documentation can help bridge the gap between remote and in-person work, fostering a productive and connected team environment.

· Source, screen, qualify, and submit strong candidates for contractual opportunities, with deep focus on rate negotiations, compliance, and client requirements.
· Partner with offshore recruiting team members to scale candidate pipelines and meet aggressive delivery timelines.
· Manage high-volume requisitions in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and candidate experience.
· Utilize BullHorn ATS and other tools to track activity, pipeline health, and metrics.

· Work a standard schedule of 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Pacific Time.
Required Qualifications
· Current 3 to 5+ years of technical recruiting experience with strong emphasis on contractual staffing (C2C, W2, contract-to-hire).
· Experience in the Utilities industry or highly technical/engineering recruiting environments.
· Proven track record in high-volume, fast-paced recruiting settings.
· Experience collaborating with offshore teams.
· Proficiency with BullHorn ATS (FieldGlass or other VMS experience is a plus).
· Solid understanding of staffing economics, including bill rates, pay rates, margins, and compliance.
· Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work independently in a fully remote setup.
Preferred Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
· Knowledge of utilities-specific technologies and role requirements.
· LinkedIn Recruiter expertise.
· Knows how to utilize AI functions to support Recruiting activities (qualifying, reformatting resumes, creating/adjusting job descriptions, analyzing & matching resumes against job descriptions etc.) when/if needed.
What We Offer
· Fully remote position aligned to Pacific Time Zone business hours.
· Chance to contribute to critical infrastructure projects across the U.S.
· Supportive, growth-oriented team culture.
