We are seeking a detail-oriented, experienced Technical Writer to draft, edit, and coordinate responses to RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, and grant solicitations. This role works closely with compliance, operations, finance, and leadership to translate program operations and organizational capabilities into clear, structured, and compliant proposal narratives. The ideal candidate can manage multiple deadlines while ensuring proposals meet solicitation requirements, evaluation criteria, and formatting standards.


Responsibilities

  • Draft, edit, and format proposal responses including executive summaries, program descriptions, technical approaches, and implementation plans.
  • Analyze solicitations to identify requirements, evaluation criteria, and submission instructions.
  • Develop proposal outlines or compliance matrices to ensure all requirements are addressed.
  • Gather information from subject matter experts and coordinate multi-author contributions.
  • Review proposals for clarity, accuracy, compliance, and consistency.
  • Manage multiple proposal timelines, internal deliverables, and submission deadlines.


Skills

  • Exceptional technical and professional writing, editing, and proofreading.
  • Ability to translate complex operational processes into clear narratives.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to analyze solicitations and structure compliant, persuasive responses.
  • Excellent time management; able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with SharePoint or proposal management tools preferred.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills for cross-functional coordination.


Experience Required:

  • 3+ years in proposal writing, technical writing, or grant writing.
  • Experience developing or contributing to RFP/RFI/RFQ or grant submissions.
  • Experience managing multiple deadlines and coordinating multi-author proposals.
  • Applicants must submit a writing sample (e.g., a proposal excerpt, grant narrative, or technical writing sample) with their application. (The writing sample must be in the same attachment as the resume).


Preferred:

  • Experience with government or public-sector procurements.
  • Experience in healthcare, Medicaid, human services, or government contracting.
  • Familiarity with compliance matrices and structured proposal outlines.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, Journalism Business, Public Administration, or related field.
  • Preferred: Grant Writing or Proposal Management certification (e.g., APMP).
