Technical Project Manager

Brown Technologies is currently seeking a Technical Project Manager to support the Cloud Services Office by planning, coordinating, and delivering cloud infrastructure and platform initiatives. This role ensures technical projects are executed efficiently, align with enterprise architecture and security requirements, and meet program objectives, schedules, and budgets. The Technical Project Manager works closely with Cloud Engineering, Architecture, Operations, Security, FinOps, and customer stakeholders to manage complex cloud initiatives such as cloud migrations, platform deployments, security implementations, and enterprise cloud service improvements, including provisioning access to Cloud Service Providers (CSPs): Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), and IBM Cloud. The role requires strong technical understanding of cloud and data center environments combined with disciplined project management practices.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead the planning and execution of cloud infrastructure, platform, and service initiatives.
  • Develop project plans, milestones, schedules, and deliverables for cloud programs and initiatives.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams responsible for engineering, operations, networking, security, and architecture activities.
  • Translate technical architecture and engineering requirements into executable project plans.
  • Facilitate coordination between technical teams to ensure dependencies, integrations, and delivery timelines are aligned.
  • Track project progress and ensure technical deliverables meet scope, schedule, and performance expectations.
  • Serve as the primary coordination point between technical teams, program leadership, and customer stakeholders.
  • Facilitate project meetings, technical reviews, and status briefings.
  • Communicate risks, dependencies, and progress to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Maintain project RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies).
  • Identify potential technical and operational risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate resolution of cross-team blockers affecting delivery.
  • Provide regular status reporting including milestone progress, risks, schedule health, and financial status.
  • Produce leadership-ready reports and dashboards for program management and governance reviews.
  • Identify opportunities to improve project delivery processes, cloud operational workflows, and coordination between teams.
  • Promote adoption of standardized project management and delivery practices across the Cloud Services Office.
  • Oversee the execution of single or multiple task orders; responsible for staffing, project planning, production, quality, project financials, and staff direction and oversight.
  • Manage the client interface at the COR level and assist the Program Manager as required in managing contract performance.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 8 years of experience managing technical infrastructure or cloud-related projects.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing platforms and enterprise IT environments.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating cross-functional technical teams.
  • Experience managing schedules, milestones, risks, and deliverables across multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting cloud service organizations or enterprise shared services teams.
  • Experience managing cloud consolidation, migration, or modernization initiatives.
  • Familiarity with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI, IBM Cloud).
  • Experience working in regulated or compliance-driven environments (e.g., federal, FISMA).
  • Knowledge of IT governance, change management, and architecture review processes.
  • Experience with Agile, hybrid Agile/Waterfall, or SAFe delivery models.
