Technical Business Analyst
SoftPro is seeking a Technical Business Analyst (TBA) in our Raleigh, NC office or as a remote employee. If the candidate works remotely, you must be able to work East Coast hours. The TBA is responsible for gathering, defining, and supporting requirements, and assisting development teams with transforming those requirements into innovative designs.
What you will do as Technical Business Analyst:
Gather and document requirements
  • Work with customers and stakeholders to document business requirements
  • Review technical documentation needed for development and translate them into functional specs
  • Assist the team in determining technical readiness of customer partners (if applicable)
  • Work with the product owner in creating user stories and determining project schedules
  • Contribute to product direction and feature set
Communicate requirements to others
  • Document business process flow, use cases, and functional requirements
  • Create working mockups to help convey proposed product design to the stakeholders
  • Organize and lead presentations with development teams to communicate requirements
  • Work with development teams to effectively translate business needs into creative software solutions
  • Work with the business on production bugs, helpdesk tickets and user training to ensure proper and optimal usage of our integrations
Verify resulting products meet customer needs
  • Validate that completed product solutions meet the requirements and expectations
  • Work with development teams to make sure products meet customer quality expectations
  • Work with the technical documentation writer to ensure the accuracy of installation and user guides
Serve as a subject matter expert for your product areas
  • Troubleshoot software, identify root causes, and propose solutions
  • Conduct product demonstrations to internal and external customers
  • Collaborate with the teams implementing products
  • Keep abreast of new technologies and process innovation within our industry
  • Look for ways to innovate within your product areas
Work collaboratively and cohesively with all team members

What Skills We’re Looking for in a Technical Business Analyst:
  • 5+ years as a Technical Business Analyst (or equivalent role)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with customers, dev teams, and executive management
  • Strong technical aptitude, including proficiency with SQL, command line interfaces, and data interchange formats (XML, JSON)
  • Familiarity with API integrations (REST, SOAP) and high-level review of code repositories
  • Title or escrow experience within large organizations strongly preferred
  • Experience with MS Azure DevOps or similar tools
  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be detail-oriented, highly organized and results-driven
  • Experience documenting user requirements
  • Experience writing user stories and working within an agile development environment preferred
