Job Description:

Job Summary

The Frac Completions Engineer Trainee (EIT) is a structured, time-bound development role designed to prepare entry-level engineers for progression into a Remote Completions Engineering position within six months.

Responsibilities
  • Develop a working understanding of hydraulic fracturing operations, including equipment function, job flow, stage execution, and field-to-ROC communication

  • Participate in field shadowing to understand wellsite operations, safety practices, and crew workflows

  • Gain exposure to fluid systems, lab testing procedures, and material performance to understand their impact on job execution, treatment quality, and remote monitoring

  • Support real-time frac monitoring by tracking stage progression, treatment data, pump schedules, material usage, and operational timelines witha high levelof accuracy and attention to detail

  • Use engineering dashboards and reports tomonitorpressure/rate trends, chemical performance, stage timing, and operational exceptions; clearly communicate and escalate deviationsin a timely manner

  • Support Remote Completions Engineering operations by contributing to pre-job readiness, live job communication, shift handoffs, and disciplined issue escalation within the ROC environment

  • Own the accuracy and integrity of operational data byvalidatingtreatment inputs, material tracking, well information, and customer-specific documentation used by ROC and field leadership

  • Support post-job reporting and debrief preparation by organizing data,validatingstage summaries, and documenting operational learnings for internal and customer-facing review

  • Develop strong digital engineering habits, including structured data management,accuratesystem inputs, effective use of dashboards and reporting tools, and consistent documentation practices that support scalable analytics and future automation

  • Developproficiencyin digital workflows and remote monitoring systems,demonstratingprogression in data ownership, operational awareness, and decision-support capabilityrequiredfor transition into a Remote Completions Engineering role

  • Maintainand enforcecompliance with all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies

  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in petroleum engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) discipline preferred.

  • Willing to learn both field-based and remote hydraulic fracturing operations, including time around active wellsite operations before progressing into ROC-based responsibilities.

  • Able tomaintainan organized digital workspace,accuraterecord keeping, consistent file naming, and disciplined documentation practices.

  • Must be a critical thinker who can learn new technical systems, ask good questions,identifyissues, and support proactive and reactive problem solving.

  • Willing to be assertive and speak up about unsafe work practices.

  • Must be a team player whodemonstratespersonal accountability, coachability, attention to detail, and commitment to continuous learning and self-improvement.
