As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Elevance, you will be responsible for:

• Conducting comprehensive mental health assessments that incorporate the patient's medical history, current health conditions, and overall well-being.
• Creating and implementing individualized treatment plans that address both psychiatric and physical health issues, integrating interventions from various disciplines.
• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based therapeutic approaches tailored to the unique needs of each patient.
• Coordinating care with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians and other healthcare providers, to ensure holistic treatment and positive outcomes.
• Providing immediate crisis intervention during mental health emergencies and offering professional support and guidance to clients in distress.
• Educating clients on the interrelation between mental health and physical health, helping them develop tools for self-management and resilience.
• Maintaining detailed and confidential records in accordance with HIPAA regulations and ethical guidelines.
• Participating in regular team meetings and case conferences, contributing to collaborative care discussions and treatment planning.
• Staying informed on the latest best practices and research in integrated mental health care, ensuring the provision of high-quality services.

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid license to practice as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in California.
• Experience providing care to individuals with co-occurring medical conditions, demonstrating an understanding of the challenges this population faces.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships quickly and establish a trusting therapeutic alliance.
• Strong commitment to ethical practice and maintaining professional boundaries, ensuring the confidentiality of all client interactions.
