Position Overview

We are seeking passionate and skilled Mental Health Counselors to join our dedicated team at Medina Behavioral Health Center. In this full-time remote position, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals as they navigate their mental health journeys, offering evidence-based strategies and compassionate care.

This remote position allows for a flexible work-life balance while providing professional mental health services to our clients. Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting thorough mental health assessments to identify individual client needs and develop targeted treatment plans tailored to their circumstances.
  • Implementing evidence-based therapeutic approaches, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), to facilitate meaningful recovery for clients.
  • Leading psychoeducational groups and support sessions that foster community and facilitate the sharing of experiences among participants.
  • Collaborating with fellow mental health professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to patient care and to address the complexities of mental health situations.
  • Providing crisis intervention services to clients experiencing acute distress or emergencies, demonstrating swift and effective management techniques.
  • Educating patients on mental health disorders, available treatment methods, and external community resources to enhance their recovery journey.
  • Maintaining accurate patient records in compliance with state and federal regulations while ensuring confidentiality and ethical standards are upheld.
  • Participating in regular team meetings, case consultations, and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in the field.
  • Staying abreast of current research and treatment advancements to further enrich clinical practice and improve patient outcomes.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our mental health therapists work with a diverse array of individuals, including those experiencing conditions such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and substance use disorders. Qualifications
  • A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
  • Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Colorado.
  • A strong foundation in mental health disorders and familiarity with evidence-based treatment practices and therapeutic modalities.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively assess clients and construct comprehensive and individualized treatment plans.
  • Experience providing individual and group counseling services, catering to diverse populations with various mental health needs.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport with clients and work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Competence in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant software applications.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working with teletherapy modalities and remote counseling practices.
  • Familiarity with community service networks and resources available to support clients beyond therapy.
  • Specialty training in specific therapeutic techniques or modalities that could enhance treatment offerings.
Compensation and Benefits
