About the role
Concept Plus is seeking a Systems Administrator to provide senior technical leadership supporting federal IT systems development and operations, with a focus on system infrastructure, environment management, and platform sustainment. This role requires knowledge and understanding of federal IT processes and technology stack (DevSecOps CI/CD, Oracle, Java). Federal systems are deployed in classified and unclassified environments in Cloud.
The Systems Administrator provides thought leadership in modernizing and enhancing federal systems through secure, scalable, and reliable infrastructure and platform capabilities, and serves as a primary interface with the customer/Program Management Office. The Systems Administrator supports and coordinates with capability delivery teams including development Scrums, Cloud Engineering, and DevSecOps Platform to ensure system availability, performance, security, and operational stability across all environments.
What you'll do
  • Management and troubleshooting of environments, as needed (related to network, server, certificate, etc).
  • Patching, upgrading, developing deployment plans and other maintenance activities.
  • Support and management of AWS development environments.
  • Evaluating and applying federal Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIGs) and IAVMs in support of a continuous monitoring approach.
  • Work with development team and customer to derive new requirements as well as implement changes.
  • Create and update system documentation.
  • Support continual RMF/Cyber assessments.
  • Recommend process and technical improvements to continuously improve the posture of the system and efficiencies.
  • Responsible for sustainment and enhancements of the customers AWS operating environment.
  • Responsible for supporting the Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) activities of multiple software teams who design, develop, and deploy web technologies.
  • Work within an environment of rapid growth and must anticipate and respond effectively to mission needs as they emerge.
  • The position duties include monitoring and sustaining the DevSecOps pipeline (i.e. GitHub, Jenkins, Ansible, Artifactory, SonarQube, K8, Xray).
  • Drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation of CI/CD processes using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, Ansible, or Terraform.
  • Manage end-to-end software releases, providing traceability, monitoring, and Troubleshooting in Dev, Stage, and Production environments.
  • Must understand federal cyber security requirements and be very familiar with security aspects of maintaining servers and applications (patching, analyzing possible vulnerabilities).
  • Should possess very solid experience in system design and management, especially as relates to supporting web applications.
  • Good understanding of Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to communicate information in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Knowledge of various protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS, SOAP and REST

Required Qualifications
  • US Citizen
  • Must be able to obtain a Tier-3 Secret Clearance
  • 5-7 Years experience as a Cloud/DevSecOps Systems Administrator
  • 2+ Years Knowledge/experience with platforms such as GitHub, Jenkins, Ansible, Artifactory, SonarQube, K8, ECS, EKS, etc.
  • 2+ Years in an AWS Environment supporting Federal Government
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; master's degree preferred.
  • Experience with AWS management and migrations
