As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Bend Mental Healthcare Center, you will be responsible for an array of engaging and impactful responsibilities, including:

• Group Therapy Facilitation: Lead and facilitate group therapy sessions to build connections among clients, helping them share experiences and learn from one another.
• Individual Counseling: Provide personalized therapy for clients, guiding them through their thoughts and emotions, and helping to devise actionable coping strategies.
• Treatment Planning: Collaborate with clients to design tailored treatment plans that are goal-oriented, taking into account each individual’s needs and preferences.
• Progress Monitoring: Use various assessment tools and feedback methods to evaluate client progress and efficacy of treatment, making adjustments as necessary.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary team members to coordinate care, discuss treatment strategies, and consult on complex cases, ensuring that all clients receive comprehensive support.

Your focus will be primarily on young adults between the ages of 18 to 30, a critical transitional period in life where numerous individuals encounter mental health challenges. Our clients may experience a variety of issues, including anxiety, depression, and interpersonal difficulties. To be considered for the Licensed Professional Counselor position, candidates must possess the following:

• Current Licensure as a Professional Counselor in the state of Connecticut (LPC).
• A Bachelor's Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly and effectively.
• A genuine passion for mental health and a commitment to client-centered care.

While not mandatory, the following qualifications would enhance your candidacy for this role:

• Previous experience working with young adults in a mental health, clinical, or therapeutic setting.
• Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
• Experience working in telehealth or digital therapy platforms.
