As a Clinical Social Worker at Summer Spring Psychotherapy Center, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments of clients to understand their psychological, emotional, and social needs, and devising individualized treatment plans to address those needs.
• Providing direct therapeutic services to clients dealing with major mental illnesses and severe emotional disorders, employing evidence-based practices to promote recovery and self-efficacy.
• Collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers, to ensure comprehensive care and advance common goals.
• Engaging in case management, including crisis intervention and risk assessment, while coordinating resources to help clients navigate their challenges effectively.
• Maintaining accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations, ensuring a seamless flow of information across the care continuum.
• Participating in regular team meetings to review cases, share insights, and strategize on improving patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in working with a diverse clientele, particularly those facing terminal illnesses and their families. You will provide vital emotional support, engage in grief counseling, and facilitate family discussions to promote open communication and understanding during difficult times. To succeed in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Kansas.
• Strong understanding of mental health assessments, diagnosis, treatment methodologies, and ethical practices pertinent to the field.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to engage effectively with clients and collaborate with team members.
• Demonstrated organizational and planning abilities, crucial for maintaining a manageable caseload and meeting deadlines.

While a minimum of two years of clinical experience is required, preference will be given to candidates who have worked specifically in hospice care or similar environments. Familiarity with crisis management and a background in team-based care approaches will also be highly regarded.
