A Remote Summer Political Internship is a temporary position, typically lasting through the summer months, where students or recent graduates work for political organizations, campaigns, or government offices from a remote location. Interns may assist with research, outreach, communications, event planning, and administrative tasks, all conducted virtually. This type of internship provides valuable experience in politics and public service while allowing for flexibility and the opportunity to work from anywhere with internet access.

What are the typical daily tasks and collaborative opportunities in a remote summer political internship?

As a remote summer political intern, your daily tasks often include conducting research on policy issues, drafting communications such as emails or social media posts, and assisting with virtual event planning. You’ll frequently collaborate with campaign staff, fellow interns, and occasionally external stakeholders via video meetings and shared documents. This structure fosters strong teamwork and communication skills, while also offering the chance to contribute ideas during strategy sessions. The remote format allows for flexible scheduling, but successful interns are proactive about seeking feedback and staying engaged with their team.
