Brightside Counseling, LLC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team in a remote, school-based setting. This role primarily operates in a remote setting, providing flexible options for work hours to best meet the needs of both the staff and the school community. Our counselors take advantage of digital tools and communications technologies to facilitate therapy while maintaining a robust network of interdisciplinary collaboration. • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, including psychosocial evaluations, diagnostic interviews, and risk assessments to formulate efficient treatment plans.
• Partner with students to create individualized treatment strategies that address their unique needs, goals, and cultural backgrounds.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including CBT, DBT, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), in a variety of formats such as individual and group settings.
• Facilitate crisis interventions and actively collaborate with teachers, school psychologists, and educational staff to provide continuity of care for students in acute distress.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation, ensuring all records including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries are kept in line with clinic policies and state regulations.
• Empower students and their families through psychoeducation that enhances their understanding and management of mental health conditions.
• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team that may include psychiatrists, psychologists, and case managers to coordinate a comprehensive care strategy.
• Regularly assess treatment outcomes and adjust treatment plans as necessary, ensuring the highest quality of care is consistently delivered.
• Stay updated on current mental health research, best practices, and emerging trends, integrating these insights into therapy practices aimed at enhanced client success.
• Adhere strictly to ethical guidelines while safeguarding the confidentiality of patient information throughout the therapeutic process.

This role primarily serves students within the school system, ranging from elementary to high school levels. As school-based mental health services, our LCSW will address a variety of challenges, including anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and trauma-related disorders. The focus is on enhancing students' emotional and psychological well-being to help them achieve both academic and personal success.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
• An active State license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is essential.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively within a multidisciplinary team framework.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a track record of building rapport with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds.

• Previous experience working within school settings or with children and adolescents is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with diagnostic assessment tools and therapeutic modalities commonly used in school environments.
• Experience in implementing crisis intervention strategies, specifically catered toward a school demographic.
• Knowledge of community resources and referral pathways for students and families.
