In this remote role, you will collaborate closely with educational staff, parents, and community resources while aiming to address the mental health needs within a school setting. The position allows for flexibility in your work schedule, accommodating the varying needs of students and their families. While you'll primarily work from home, occasional onsite visits to schools may be necessary to engage directly with students and faculty.

• Provide direct clinical services to students experiencing symptoms of major mental illness and/or severe emotional disorders, conducting assessments, individual therapy, family therapy, and group sessions.
• Collaborate with school staff and community partners to develop integrated care plans while facilitating access to linked services and ensuring continuity of care.
• Participate as a proactive team member, contributing to shared goals and demonstrating collaborative efforts to improve student mental health outcomes.
• Identify potential crises and intervene appropriately, ensuring students feel supported and safe.
• Conduct thorough, evidence-based assessments and screenings, adjusting interventions based on the unique social and cultural context of each student.
• Maintain accurate records, complete reports in a timely manner, and ensure compliance with all relevant ethical guidelines and organizational policies.
• Engage in continuous professional development, enhancing your skills to meet evolving patient needs and expectations.

This role primarily focuses on school-aged children and adolescents, addressing a spectrum of mental health issues prevalent in educational settings. As a key figure in their support system, you will cater to diverse populations with unique needs, embracing a holistic approach that integrates family involvement and community resources. • A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or a related field is required.
• Active LCSW licensure in the state of Maryland is mandatory.
• Demonstrated competency in using assessment and treatment techniques specific to children and adolescents.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, along with strong organizational abilities.
• Cultural competence and sensitivity when working with diverse populations.

• At least two years of clinical experience as a social worker, preferably in a school or educational environment.
• Bilingual capabilities, especially in English and Spanish, are highly desired to better serve our diverse community.
