This position is entirely remote, allowing for flexibility in your work setting while making a significant impact on students' lives. As a school-based LCSW, you will collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and parents to address the mental health needs of students in Galveston, Texas. Our remote model promotes a strong support system and facilitates engagement with clients in a way that fits their comfort and schedules.

• Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to understand students' mental health challenges, strengths, and available resources.
• Provide individual, family, and group therapy, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques tailored to the varied needs of students.
• Develop and execute specialized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, incorporating measurable goals and practical interventions.
• Engage in interprofessional collaboration within a treatment team to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for all students.
• Offer crisis intervention services, including risk assessments and safety planning, to support students in acute distress.
• Facilitate psychoeducation classes and support groups to empower students and their families while promoting mental health awareness in school environments.
• Maintain meticulous documentation in alignment with ethical and legal requirements, ensuring that client records are current and accurate.

Your primary focus will be students from diverse backgrounds dealing with various mental health conditions. You will address an array of issues, such as emotional disturbances, behavioral challenges, and trauma-related concerns, thereby making a tangible difference in their academic and personal lives.

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
• Active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is mandatory.
• A minimum of two years' experience in a mental health or outpatient treatment setting is essential.
• In-depth knowledge of therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused brief therapy, and trauma-informed care.
• Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly with students and their families.

• Experience working in a school setting or with children and adolescents preferred.
• Familiarity with educational systems and understanding of how mental health impacts academic performance would be advantageous.

The annual salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000, complemented by a competitive sign-on bonus.
