  • Conduct home visits or outreach to community agencies to gather vital information about studentsโ€™ backgrounds and provide holistic support.
  • Develop and facilitate educational workshops for students, parents, and staff that cover essential topics like bullying prevention and mental health awareness.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and student progress while upholding confidentiality standards.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with school social work practices and legal regulations.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role encompasses a diverse student population attending our Detox Center, where many may be contending with substance-related challenges. You will play a vital role in addressing the behaviors stemming from these experiences and guiding students in overcoming their personal obstacles through supportive counseling and intervention techniques.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid state licensure or certification as a School Social Worker.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a social work capacity, preferably in an educational environment.
  • Strong understanding of child and adolescent development, along with behavior management techniques.
  • Familiarity with relevant laws and policies associated with student services and educational settings.
  • Exceptional assessment, counseling, and problem-solving skills.
  • Empathy and cultural competence for establishing rapport with students and families from diverse backgrounds.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, vital for interdisciplinary teamwork.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in a school or educational setting directly supporting students with diverse emotional and behavioral needs.
  • Background in crisis intervention and knowledge of prevention programs, specifically within a substance use context.
  • Training in trauma-informed practices and interventions to support students impacted by adverse childhood experiences.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is USD 60,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including:

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • A 401(k) retirement savings plan with employer matching contributions.
  • Generous paid time off (PTO) and observed holidays.
  • Support for professional development, including continuing education opportunities.
