• Conduct in-depth psychosocial assessments through virtual interviews and reviews of student records, identifying emotional, social, and environmental factors influencing their academic and social performance.
• Provide therapeutic counseling to students dealing with a range of issues from anxiety and depression to grief and adjustment difficulties, ensuring they receive the emotional support they need to navigate school life.
• Work collaboratively with educators and interdisciplinary teams to create personalized, goal-oriented treatment plans that address each student's unique psychosocial needs and promote their mental health.
• Facilitate access to community resources, including support groups, vocational rehabilitation, and housing services, to enhance students' support systems.
• Educate students and their families about available resources, ensuring they understand the post-rehabilitation services and ongoing mental health support.
• Participate in the development and implementation of discharge plans, ensuring smooth transitions for students from school to home or other educational environments.

This position primarily focuses on school-aged children, adolescents, and their families. The ideal candidate will understand the unique challenges faced by students in educational settings and how mental health issues can impact their academic performance, social interactions, and overall development. Your role will be crucial in helping students process their experiences and develop coping strategies.

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited university.
• Possession of an active Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in the state of Illinois.
• A deep understanding of child development theories and multi-faceted approaches to address mental health within a school setting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a capacity to build rapport with students, families, and educational staff.
• A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion.

• Prior experience working in school settings, rehabilitation, or medical environments.
• Knowledge of educational policies and systems, including Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 plans.
• Experience with crisis intervention and therapeutic models suited for young populations.
