Work Environment

This position offers a unique remote work setting, allowing flexibility while enabling you to serve students across various educational facilities in Westport. While the main hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, occasional evening and weekend hours may be required to address specific student needs or participate in community outreach initiatives. As part of your role, you will liaise with interdisciplinary teams of educators, healthcare providers, and support staff to foster a cohesive approach to student support. You will be expected to maintain on-call availability for urgent situations requiring immediate intervention.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of studentsโ€™ psychosocial needs, utilizing evidence-based practices to evaluate emotional, mental, and social factors impacting their educational experience.
  • Collaborate with students, families, and educational professionals to develop individualized support plans that align with each student's unique goals, aspirations, and challenges.

  • Advocate for studentsโ€™ rights, ensuring equitable access to educational resources and community services that support their mental health and academic success.

  • Facilitate communication within families and educational teams to resolve any conflicts surrounding student care and wellbeing.
  • Educate students and their families on available community resources, programs, and support groups that promote social engagement, resilience, and life skills.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of assessments, care plans, and progress notes to ensure continued compliance with ethical standards and organizational policies.
  • Stay updated on best practices in social work, adolescent development, and the evolving landscape of mental health resources to enhance service delivery.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

Compensation and Benefits
