• Conduct comprehensive assessments of client mood disorder symptoms, evaluating their intensity, frequency, and impact on daily functioning.
• Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans tailored to client needs, incorporating methodologies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
• Provide ongoing support and psychoeducation to clients and their families regarding treatment options for mood disorders, encouraging self-care and coping strategies.
• Monitor client progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure alignment with therapeutic goals.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to ensure cohesive treatment plans that address all aspects of client well-being.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation, adhering to legal and ethical standards concerning client confidentiality.
• Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development sessions to enhance clinical skills and knowledge base.
• Advocate for clients' needs both within the therapeutic relationship and in broader community contexts, aiming to reduce mental health stigma.

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, you will primarily work with clients facing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Your expertise will allow you to offer specialized support to various groups, including those who are homeless, refugees, or survivors of domestic abuse. Your role is crucial in creating a safe space for clients to explore their emotions, develop insights, and promote overall mental health and wellness.

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, essential for building trusting relationships with clients.
