Remote Sleep Coach information

How do you become a remote sleep coach?

To become a remote sleep coach, individuals typically complete specialized training or certification in sleep coaching, sleep science, or related fields. Developing strong communication skills, understanding sleep hygiene, and gaining experience through internships or mentorships can also be beneficial; many roles require a background in health, psychology, or coaching. Certification programs from reputable organizations can enhance credibility and job prospects in this field.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote sleep coach, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Sleep Coach, you need a background in sleep science, health coaching, or a related field, often supported by relevant certifications such as Certified Sleep Science Coach (CSSC) or similar. Familiarity with telehealth platforms, sleep tracking apps, and digital communication tools is typically required. Excellent listening, motivational interviewing, and empathy skills help build trust and guide clients through personalized sleep improvement plans. These competencies ensure effective, client-centered support and measurable improvements in sleep health from a remote setting.

What is the difference between Remote Sleep Coach vs Sleep Consultant?

Both roles often require similar certifications and serve clients remotely, but their approach and scope may differ slightly.

What is a remote sleep coach?

A remote sleep coach is a professional who helps individuals improve their sleep habits and address sleep-related issues through virtual consultations and support. They typically assess your sleep patterns, provide personalized advice, and teach techniques to promote better sleep, all through online platforms such as video calls, chat, or email. Remote sleep coaches often work with children, adults, or families and may coordinate with other healthcare providers if needed. Their goal is to help clients achieve healthier sleep routines and improve overall well-being from the comfort of their own homes.

What are some common challenges faced by remote sleep coaches when working with clients virtually?

As a remote sleep coach, one of the main challenges is effectively building trust and rapport with clients through virtual communication. Without in-person cues, it can be harder to interpret clients' emotions and troubleshoot subtle sleep-related issues. Additionally, clients may face distractions at home during sessions or have difficulty following through with recommendations without face-to-face accountability. Successful remote sleep coaches often use video calls, digital tracking tools, and clear follow-up strategies to enhance client engagement and ensure consistent progress.

Job description

Associate Enrollment Advisor - Contract to Hire
Who we are
At Podium Education, we believe that a college degree should be a springboard to achieving the American Dream. Yet, American Higher Education is at a crossroads: half of college graduates end up underemployed, and unemployment rates for new college grads are the highest in generations. As a result, confidence in the investment in a college education has hit an all-time low.
Our mission is to help solve this problem and change the lives of millions of students.
We do this by partnering with colleges and companies to supercharge the undergraduate degree by providing students with the experience, career exposure, and skills to launch a great career. Podium serves a population of over 2,000,000 students across 100 of the largest and most well-known universities in the country, including Georgetown, UNC, Harvard, ASU, and Texas A&M.
Podium Education programs are offered as online courses within standard university semesters. Through Podium, students gain real-world experience while tackling projects from the world's most recognized brands, such as L'Oreal, Netflix, Shopify, Uber, Google, and Airbnb. Our flagship program is the Global Career Accelerator (here's an example: https://www.globaltech.asu.edu/about).
Everything we do and how we measure our success is about impacting students' lives:
  • Student Experience - Customer NPS is better than Netflix, Apple, and Amazon.
  • Student Access - Programs are for credit, count towards graduation, and are financial aid eligible. One-third of our students are first-generation to attend college.
  • Student Outcomes - Two-thirds of students say Podium helped them achieve tangible career outcomes within six months (eg, "I got my first internship"). Over 90% report feeling more confidence and clarity in their career journey.

Podium Education is a privately held growth stage company based in Austin, TX with prominent investors, including Sequoia Capital, Owl Ventures, Lumos Capital Group, Learn Capital, Lachy Groom, Goldcrest Capital, and Album VC.
We are looking for a contract-to-hire Associate Enrollment Advisor to join our Enrollment Department. This is a great opportunity to directly contribute to the growth and success of a dynamic company.
Qualifications
  • 1+ years experience as a SDR, BDR or in a retail or service job (preferred)
  • Amazing communication skills to passionately and clearly articulate the value of Podium's Global Career Accelerator
  • You have a high degree of resilience and grit
  • You possess a growth mindset; you never back down from a challenge
  • Your work ethic is unmatched - anything you don't know you'll make up with hard work
  • You're extremely coachable and willing to receive and implement feedback
  • Ideally you have been a student of the Global Career Accelerator and loved it!

Flexibility in working hours is required. Your work day may look more like 10am to 6pm or 11am to 7pm. Occasional evening or weekend shift flexibility will be expected as well.
This role is remote-flexible. We are located on South Congress Ave (next door to Allen's Boots!) and would love to have you in the office occasionally, but no relocation necessary.
Benefits (Upon joining Full-Time)
  • 401k, Health, Vision and Dental insurance packages
