What is remote strategic workforce planning?

Remote Strategic Workforce Planning involves developing and implementing strategies to ensure an organization has the right number of people, with the right skills, in the right roles, working remotely. This process includes analyzing workforce data, forecasting future staffing needs, and aligning talent management practices with business goals. The remote aspect emphasizes managing distributed teams and leveraging digital tools to support a flexible and efficient workforce. Strategic workforce planners collaborate with leadership and HR to address talent gaps, succession planning, and remote work policies. This role is critical for organizations aiming to stay competitive in a rapidly changing, remote-friendly business environment.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote strategic workforce planning professional?

To thrive in Remote Strategic Workforce Planning, you need expertise in data analysis, workforce modeling, and human resources strategy, typically supported by a degree in HR, business, or a related field. Familiarity with HRIS systems, workforce analytics platforms, and advanced Excel or data visualization tools is often required. Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills are crucial for aligning stakeholders and driving remote initiatives. These capabilities are vital for designing agile talent strategies that support organizational goals in a distributed work environment.

Job description

Restaurant365 is a SaaS company disrupting the restaurant industry! Our cloud-based platform provides aย unique, centralized solution for accounting and back-office operations for restaurants. Restaurant365's culture is focused on empowering team members to produce top-notch results while elevating their skills. We're constantly evolving and improving to make sure we are and always will be "Best in Class" ... and we want that for you too!

About the Roleย

Restaurant365 is looking for a Director, People Business Partnership to shape and lead how our People team partners with the business. This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who thinks strategically, operates with urgency, and knows how to build a PBP function that scales.ย

You'll serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, lead and develop a team of People Business Partners, and drive the processes, playbooks, and operating model that make great partnership possible. Equally important - you'll champion the way AI and modern tools are changing what great HR looks like, modeling and embedding AI-forward ways of working across the team.ย

Why R365ย

This is a rare opportunity to build something - not just run it. You'll have the scope, the leadership support, and the mandate to modernize how People partnering works at a company that's scaling fast and doing it thoughtfully. If you're energized by building, leading, and staying ahead of what's next in HR, this role is for you.ย

What You'll Do
  • Lead, coach, and grow a high-performing PBP team - setting clear expectations, building capability, and creating a culture where great partnership is the standardย

  • Serve as a strategic People advisor to executives and senior leaders, translating business priorities into workforce, talent, org design, and leadership strategies that actually move the needleย

  • Own and drive workforce planning, org design, talent management, succession, and performance processes across multiple functions and growth stagesย

  • Build, refine, and operationalize the PBP model - including playbooks, tools, templates, and operating rhythms that improve consistency and scale across the teamย

  • Act as a senior escalation point for complex and sensitive employee relations matters, balancing business needs, employee experience, and risk with sound judgmentย

  • Partner closely with FP&A, Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, and People Ops to ensure People strategies are connected, coordinated, and driving real outcomesย

  • Champion the adoption of AI, automation, and people analytics tools - identifying opportunities to simplify workflows, deepen insights, and free the team up for higher-value strategic workย

  • Lead the people side of change - restructures, leadership transitions, and org changes - with clear communication and steady change managementย

What you bring
  • 12+ years of progressive HR/People experience, with deep HRBP experience supporting senior leaders in high-growth, matrixed organizations; SaaS or pre-IPO experience strongly preferredย

  • 5+ years leading, managing, and developing People Business Partner teams with a track record of raising the bar on quality and impactย

  • Proven ability to build and scale HRBP/PBP operating models, processes, and playbooks that improve consistency, effectiveness, and business partnershipย

  • Strong executive presence and the credibility to give senior leaders honest, direct counsel they trust - including on sensitive talent, org, and leadership mattersย

  • Solid employee relations experience and the judgment to navigate complex, sensitive situations with care, fairness, and appropriate risk managementย

  • Genuine enthusiasm for how AI is reshaping the People function - and demonstrated experience using AI, automation, and digital tools to improve HR workflows and quality of workย

R365 Team Member Benefits & Compensation
  • This position has a salary of $160,000-195,000. The above rate represents the expected salary for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic location. Restaurant365 focuses on equitable pay for our team and aims for transparency with our pay practices.
  • Comprehensive medical benefits, 100% paid for employee
  • 401k + matching
  • Equity Option Grant
  • Unlimited PTO + Company holidays
  • Wellness initiatives
Internal Employees - R365 is committed to growing talent from within.ย  If you see a role that excites you and you meet the qualifications, we encourage you to apply -regardless of your current location or work arrangement.ย  Reach out to your People Business Partner if you have questions.
