Job Description

ProSidian Seeks a Strategic Planning Consultant - Business Transformation (BT) Initiatives in CONUS - Silver Spring, MD (Plus Work Remotely) to support an engagement for an agency of the US Federal Govt. that regulates clinical investigations of products under its jurisdiction, such as drugs, biological products, and medical devices.ย 

The ProSidian Engagement Team Members work to Business Transformation (BT) Support Services for initiatives aimed to align People, Process and Technology of the agency's financial community to be more closely linked with the strategy and vision for protecting the public health of the nation. Key objectives are to integrate and maintain financial management activities, business processes, and customer service using project management, administration, and change management techniques.

Strategic Planning Consultant - Business Transformation (BT) Initiatives Candidates shall work to support requirements for Program Support and Strategic Planning Initiatives.ย  This position Provides a roadmap for achieving future goals and focuses strategic direction in alignment with the Fed. Govt. Agency (i.e. the Fed. Govt. Agency and the Fed. Govt. Agency)cascading directives relative to day-to-day activities. Ensure business transformation activities are aligned with strategic plans.

Key project workstreams align with BPA Statement Of Work Workstreams: 3.6 - Strategic Planning.ย  The Strategic Planning Consultant shall be responsible for recommending and assisting the Fed. Govt. Agency with strategic activities that are identified as necessary or are deemed appropriate as an integral part of each new change request or process-improvement effort. The Strategic Planning Consultant shall maintain the appropriate level (division, department, etc.) strategic plan. Representative activities may include but are not limited to:

  • Perform initial analysis to assess the challenge or situation, define the problem and opportunity, and develop a common understanding of the goals and objectives of the work.
  • Facilitate interactive workshops that provide data, analysis, and outputs that summarize decisions and results including an analysis of existing strategies, programs, projects, and other key initiatives.
  • Engage key internal and external stakeholders to understand and discern themes, issues, drivers, risks, and opportunities.
  • Formulate a strategy, objective, and goal through a defined strategic approach document or other set of operational plans.
  • Design a model for deployment, which establishes the strategic portfolio for prioritizing projects, builds a management and organizational infrastructure to support the deployment, and conceives and operationalizes ways to manage the overall set of programs and/or projects.

Qualifications

The Strategic Planning Consultant - Business Transformation (BT) Initiatives shall have consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five (5) years, Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; and proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and related tools and technology required for the position.ย 

Work products shall be thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and comply with established criteria. The candidate shall ensure that duties are performed in a competent and professional manner that meets milestones/delivery schedules as outlined.

The Strategic Planning Consultant shall be classified under the Labor Categories and Experience of a Federal Senior Consultantย  with professional qualifications that include A minimum of 8 years of consulting and/or work experience. Senior Consultant holds a bachelor's degree and will provide a combination of the following:

  • Strategic Planning Certification or Equivalent Experience.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating project tasks.
  • Experience in one or more of the key project areas.
  • Supports implementation of business operations improvements or project tasks.
  • Business Process Management Skills (e.g., Six-Sigma certification or comparable tools).
  • Process Improvement Management Experience and Skills.
  • Enterprise risk management (ERM) certification or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of ERM theory (e.g., maturity model) and ability to transfer theory into practical application in the federal sector.
  • E2E Technologies Practical Application Mapping Skills.
  • Business Intelligence Reporting Experience.
  • Strong Writing and Verbal Communications Skills.

This work will be performed primarily in CONUS - Silver Spring, MD (Plus Work Remotely)

TRAVEL: ย Travel as coordinated with the technical point of contact and approved in writing by the Contracting Officer in advance, is allowed, in accordance with Federal Travel Regulations.ย 

LOCATION:ย  Work shall be conducted at the CONUS - Silver Spring, MD (Plus Work Remotely)

  • U.S.ย  Citizenship Required
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, & Adobe)
  • All ProSidian staff must be determined eligible for a "Facility Access Authorization" (also referred to as an "Employment Authorization") by the USG's designated Security Office.
