This remote position allows our therapists to conduct therapy sessions through telehealth modalities, managing their schedule while maintaining a collaborative environment. • Conduct virtual therapy sessions that can be individual, in-home, or group therapy, adapting approaches to meet the varied needs of clients.
• Focus on enhancing essential skills such as anger management, coping strategies, and social skills, thereby helping clients reduce high-risk behaviors like Self-Injurious Behavior (SIB) or aggression.
• Work closely with children and caregivers to improve their decision-making abilities regarding behavioral challenges within the home environment.
• Collaborate regularly with the Child Family Treatment Team and other healthcare professionals to create a holistic support system for clients.
• Maintain precise and punctual documentation, including intake evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
• Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings, contributing ideas and strategies for improving client treatment outcomes.

Your primary focus will be on children and adolescents aged 3 to 20 who are navigating developmental delays and intellectual disabilities. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of clients coming from various cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. This role is crucial in helping special needs youngsters overcome challenges, enabling them to thrive within their families and communities.

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field is required.
• Current, unrestricted LMFT license is essential for this role.
• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle are mandatory for any potential in-home visits.
• Completion of a background check, including fingerprints, will be necessary for all candidates.

• Experience providing positive behavior support and therapeutic interventions for children with intellectual and developmental disabilities is highly preferred.
• Previous experience working with diverse populations in therapeutic or educational settings is beneficial.
• Availability for evening hours (4-7 pm) is a plus, supporting our clients during critical times.
