With a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 105,000 annually, we offer a supportive environment where your expertise will shine.

About the Organization

StrongMynd Plus Support, Inc. is a comprehensive community-focused health clinic based in Aurora, Colorado, specializing in youth and family support services. Our mission is to provide holistic support for caregivers and families navigating the challenges of developmental and intellectual disabilities. We pride ourselves on our commitment to cultural competence and inclusivity, striving to serve diverse populations, particularly those who speak Spanish or Portuguese.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive individual therapy sessions and group therapy via telehealth or in-home visits, tailored to the specific needs of clients.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques focused on anger management, social skills development, and coping strategies to address high-risk behaviors like Self-Injurious Behavior (SIB) and physical violence.
  • Work closely with caregivers to enhance their decision-making skills, empowering them to effectively manage behavioral challenges and foster positive relationships within the home.
  • Engage in regular collaboration with the Child Family Treatment Team and other allied health professionals to create a cohesive, supportive network around each client.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation of client progress including intake evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes, ensuring timely submission to meet organizational standards.
  • Participate actively in team meetings, bringing forward innovative ideas for improving client therapies and outcomes.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will have the unique opportunity to work with a diverse group of children aged 3 to 20 who face developmental and intellectual challenges. Your role is crucial in providing specialized therapeutic support that not only addresses the mental health needs of these children but also helps caregivers navigate the complex landscape of development and behavior management.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a closely related field is required.
  • A valid and active LMFT license without restrictions is mandatory.
  • Availability to work weekends and after school hours (4 PM to 7 PM) for a minimum of 5-10 hours a week is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle are necessary for in-home visits.
  • Successful completion of a comprehensive background check, including fingerprinting, is required prior to employment.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience supporting positive behavioral interventions is highly desirable.
  • Experience working with children diagnosed with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) will be beneficial.
  • Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese is a strong plus, enabling effective communication with a broader range of client families.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation package with a salary range of USD 90,000 to 105,000 per year. Additionally, employees enjoy a dynamic and engaging work environment that prioritizes mental health and wellness. Benefits include:

  • Annual paid vacation for work-life balance.
  • Short-term and long-term disability insurance for employee peace of mind.
