GEOINT Processing Engineer
The Opportunity:
Are you looking for an opportunity to combine your technical skills with big picture thinking to make an impact in the national security space? You understand your customer's environment and how to develop the right systems for their mission. Your ability to translate real-world needs into technical specifications makes you an integral part of delivering a customer-focused engineering solution.
You'll support the development, integration, testing and sustainment of geospatial processing solutions that enable mission success. You'll analyze image collection, processing, exploitation, and dissemination workflows to ensure systems meet operational and performance requirements. You'll develop and execute test plans, evaluate system functionality, document test results, and identify issues throughout the system lifecycle.
You'll collaborate with developers, systems engineers, and mission stakeholders to verify new capabilities, validate system performance and ensure processing solutions meet customer requirements. You'll support requirements analysis, integration activities, and troubleshooting efforts while assessing the performance of image processing algorithms and sensor-derived data products. As a Processing Engineer, you'll play a critical role in delivering reliable, mission-ready capabilities and continuously improving operational systems through testing, analysis, and process enhancements and improvements.

You Have:
  • Experience providing direct support to GEOINT missions or geospatial processing environments, and with collection management, mission management, or GEOINT operational environments
  • Experience with system integration, verification, validation, or software or system testing
  • Experience developing and executing test plans, test procedure, and documenting test results, and identifying, tracking, and resolving system defects or performance issues
  • Knowledge of image collection, processing, exploitation, and dissemination (TCPED) workflows
  • Ability to develop solutions and processes across multiple systems that ensure activities are accomplished in a manner to achieve mission objectives
  • Ability to analyze system performance and collaborate across multi-disciplinary engineering teams
  • Ability to leverage existing applications or methods and provide input into the development of new applications that improve products or methods
  • Ability to prepare and deliver technical briefings on test plans, test execution, system performance, verification and validation results, identified deficiencies, and recommend corrective actions
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with GEOINT product quality processes and technologies
  • Experience with product quality techniques
  • Experience with supporting real-time missions and responding flexibly and dynamically to ad hoc support requests
  • Experience with the intelligence cycle
  • Experience with Linux command line
  • Knowledge of DoD or IC architectures and collection capabilities
  • Knowledge of intelligence authorities and programs and the principles of intelligence oversight
  • Knowledge of IC and DoD missions and organizations and priority intelligence requirements
  • Possession of excellent interpersonal skills to interact and engage with all levels of customer and mission partners
  • Bachelor's degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $62,000.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
