• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to develop individualized therapy strategies for clients, ensuring that treatment plans are tailored to their unique needs.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to individuals, groups, couples, and families, implementing a variety of techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy.
• Collaborate with other mental health professionals and support staff to coordinate comprehensive care for clients, ensuring that all aspects of a client's mental health are addressed.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation in compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards to facilitate high-quality client care.
• Engage in ongoing professional development by participating in training, workshops, and conferences to expand your knowledge of current mental health research and therapeutic interventions.

As a Mental Health Counselor at St. Mary Counseling Services, you will work with a diverse client population, including individuals and families facing a variety of mental health challenges. This may include clients dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and substance use disorders. Our focus is on providing culturally competent and compassionate care, making it essential for our counselors to build rapport and trust with clients from various backgrounds.

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field.
• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in New Jersey.
• A minimum of two years of clinical counseling experience, with a focus on providing therapeutic services to clients.
• Strong understanding of ethical and legal standards in clinical practice.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport with a diverse clientele.
• Demonstrated capacity to collaborate effectively within a healthcare team.
• Proficient in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software and telehealth platforms.

• Specialization in family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance use treatment.
• Experience providing telehealth services and utilizing technology to enhance client engagement.

St. Mary Counseling Services PC offers a competitive salary range of $70,000 – $90,000 per year, commensurate with experience and caseload assignment. In addition to a supportive work environment, our benefits package includes:
