Job description

The Software Engineer will work with various teams and teammates to deliver on assigned projects. This person will work in a fast-paced environment where the collective team emphasis is to generate market driven solutions that work. The successful candidate will be required to collaborate effectively as needed with developers, offshore development team members, business owners, project management, and other internal stakeholders. We develop highly innovative customer-facing applications in healthcare analytics to generate performance, improvement opportunities, and value for our clients.
 
Responsibilities:
Design and develop high quality software modules for the Cotiviti product suite
Collaborate closely within the development team to provide technical translation of business requirements and ensure software construction adheres to Cotiviti best practices coding techniques
Analyze requirements and specifications and create detailed designs for implementation
Analyze and resolve software related issues originating from internal or external customers
Continuously update professional knowledge of new technologies as selected and integrated into the Cotiviti product suite
Execute all appropriate facets of the Cotiviti Software Development Lifecycle with a desire for continuous improvement
Peer review software changes by other developers.
Document the specifications, design, features, and operation of applications prior to production rollout.
Complete all responsibilities as outlined in the annual performance review and/or goal setting. Required
Complete all special projects and other duties as Required

Qualifications:
 
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related
2-3 years of industry experience, preferred
2-3 years of experience and demonstrated proficiency SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
2-3 years of experience and a strong understanding of Extract Transform and Load (ETL) processing
2-3 years' experience with databases: Microsoft SQL Server Queries/Tables/Views/SPROC
2-3 years' experience with software engineering best practices such as continuous integration, unit testing, refactoring, and code reviews
Understanding of prevalent Software Development Lifecycle Methodologies with specific exposure or participation in Agile/Scrum techniques
Ability to execute on project deliverables in a dynamic, fast paced environment within estimated timelines
Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Good written and verbal communication skills
Optimization and tuning of SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers
Strong knowledge and application of SAFe agile practices, preferred
Proficiency working with large data sets
