The Medicare Advantage (MA) Product Capabilities team provides management, strategic oversight, subject matter expertise, data analytics, data delivery and stewardship, and production support for technical assets which deliver Medicare Advantage product and benefit data across the enterprise.  Our focus is to create sustainable solutions that drive efficiencies in operations where Medicare Advantage product data is needed.

The Medicare Advantage Supplemental Benefits team provides data analytics, reporting, operational oversight, and subject matter expertise supporting eligibility and utilization programs across the organization. Our focus is to deliver accurate, compliant, and actionable data solutions that enable effective administration of supplemental benefits while supporting a positive member experience.

This Senior Data Analyst role is s business-facing data analyst role responsible for developing and delivering complex reporting, analytics, and business insights that guide decisions for local and national Medicare Advantage supplemental benefit programs and vendor partnerships. This role works closely with leadership, internal stakeholders, external vendors, and other cross-functional business partners to analyze data, identify trends, and provide recommendations that support operational performance and strategic decision-making.

Success in this role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, deep knowledge of Medicare Advantage eligibility and benefit data, and the ability to translate complex information into actionable business insights.

The position collaborates with other (MA) Product Capabilities teams, technology partners, vendors, as well as leadership to ensure data quality, regulatory compliance, and the delivery of reliable reporting solutions that align with business objectives.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, risks, opportunities, and actionable insights that support business objectives and client outcomes
  • Develop deep subject matter expertise in Medicare Advantage product, eligibility, supplemental benefit, and utilization data to support business partners, vendors, and leadership with data-driven decision making
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable reporting solutions, dashboards, analytical models, and data products using SQL, Snowflake, Databricks, and other modern data technologies
  • Acquire, integrate, transform, and validate data from diverse internal and external sources to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of reporting and analytics deliverables
  • Develop, optimize, and maintain ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines across SQLServer, Snowflake, Databricks, and related cloud-based data platforms
  • Partner with business stakeholders, account management teams, vendors, and technical resources to gather requirements, define solutions, and deliver high-value analytics capabilities
  • Translate complex data and analytical findings into clear, concise, and actionable recommendations through reports, presentations, dashboards, and visualizations tailored to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients and leadership by providing data-driven insights, performance analysis, forecasting, and strategic recommendations that drive business decision-making
  • Lead or contribute to multiple concurrent initiatives by managing priorities, timelines, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communications
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, automate manual activities, and implement best practices that enhance operational efficiency, scalability, and data quality
  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, data dictionaries, process flows, specifications, and operational procedures that facilitates knowledge sharing and long-term solution sustainability
  • Ensure data solutions align with organizational standards for performance, reliability, security, scalability, compliance, and data governance
  • Perform adhoc analyses, develop prototypes, and build proof-of-concept solutions to evaluate new opportunities and address evolving business needs
  • Mentor and support team members by sharing technical expertise, promoting development best practices, and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration
  • Stay current on emerging technologies, analytics methodologies, cloud platforms, and industry best practices to drive innovation and improve organizational capabilities

Required Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience developing and optimizing complex SQL queries and data solutions with advanced/expert-level SQL proficiency
  • 3 years of experience with scripting or programming languages, such as Python, PowerShell, or similar technologies
  • 3 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, business intelligence, or related analytical roles
  • 3 years of healthcare industry experience
  • Experience working with large and complex datasets across multiple data sources and platforms
  • Experience developing and maintaining ETL/ELT processes and data integration solutions
  • Experience utilizing modern data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, SQL Server, or other cloud-based analytics technologies
  • Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts and analytical findings to technical and non-technical audiences, including business stakeholders, vendors, and senior leadership

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience supporting Medicare Advantage programs, with a solid understanding of the Medicare Advantage line of business
  • Experience supporting Medicare Advantage, Supplemental Benefits, Eligibility, Claims, or related healthcare programs
  • Experience working in Agile, Scrum, or other iterative delivery environments
  • Experience with dashboarding and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms
  • Experience leading technical initiatives, mentoring team members, or serving as a technical resource within a team
  • Experience with cloud-based data warehousing, big data, and advanced analytics solutions

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $91,700 - $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
