Job description

$27 to $30 an hour, weekly pay, Monday to Friday day shift, and long-term work on large commercial new construction. Skillforce is hiring Commercial Sprinkler Fitters for ongoing project work in the Chester and Louisa, VA areas.

This is steady fire protection work, cutting and running threaded pipe and setting heads on new construction. Work either site or both, and pick up the per diem on the Louisa drive. If you have run sprinkler or pipe, we want to talk.


Pay and Schedule

• $27 to $30 per hour, W-2, paid weekly

• Monday to Friday, 7am start

• 8 to 10 hour days, no nights or weekends

• $40 per day per diem at the Louisa site

• Long-term, ongoing project work


Responsibilities

• Install fire sprinkler and standpipe systems

• Cut, thread, and run screw pipe

• Assemble and hang pipe to shop drawings

• Set sprinkler heads, fittings, and risers

• Commercial and industrial new construction


Qualifications

• 2 plus years sprinkler or pipefitting

• Able to read sprinkler shop drawings

• Reliable transportation required

• Must pass background check and drug screen

• NICET or fire sprinkler experience a plus
